Fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Town Planning specialist at either Associate or Associate Director grade to join a leading property and planning consultancy based in Bristol.
My client has a significant team of experienced Planners working on a range of sizeable and interesting projects across the South of the UK and Wales. Due to their ongoing success and ambition for further growth, they are looking to add a dynamic and ambitious experienced Planner to their team to play a key role in supporting the Office Director.
My client has a strong reputation in Planning and have a network of offices across the UK. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of 10 Planners which is part of a larger office. This firm has an established client base, which includes local and regional housebuilders, developers, landowners and public-sector bodies.
On offer is a varied workload of projects across a variety of sectors including residential, mixed-use, energy and strategic land, ranging from small-scale projects right up to large urban extensions.
Your role will include
· Leading on your own projects as well as supporting the Director where required
· Providing comprehensive planning advice to a range of clients, supporting and mentoring junior members of staff
· Taking a hands-on approach to delivering projects
· Maintaining and developing existing client relationships whilst forging new ones through business development activity and networking
· You will also be involved in preparing and presenting evidence to hearings, inquiries and examinations
You should be MRTPI qualified, ideally with a private sector background. You will have a demonstrable track record of working within the region on a range of projects. You will have an established range of industry contacts and thrive in a client facing capacity.
You must have strong development management experience and residential project experience is a big advantage. Some experience of managing junior staff is useful, but not essential. M A full driving licence is required.
