Are you ready to take your ecological expertise to the next level? My client is seeking a passionate Senior Ecologist to spearhead key projects and drive environmental excellence. With a focus on leading large-scale bat monitoring initiatives and providing mentorship to junior staff, this role offers a dynamic environment where your skills can flourish.

Responsibilities & Tasks
· Lead and coordinate technical aspects of bat monitoring projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
· Drive the technical quality of surveys, analysis, and reporting, while maintaining compliance with ecological legislation.
· Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve environmental protection goals and deliver exemplary outcomes for our clients.
· Mentor and manage junior staff, fostering a culture of growth and development within the team.
· Engage in business development activities, advocating for our services and contributing to bid preparation.
· Champion our capabilities internally and externally, promoting our services to clients and stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
· Hold a degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or related field, with membership or eligibility to join the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
· Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in UK consultancy, with a focus on infrastructure projects and bat ecology.
· Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
· Show proficiency in data management, wildlife legislation, ecological survey methods, and mitigation measures.
· Hold a full UK driver's license and have expertise in bat sound analysis and GIS skills.
