Are you an ambitious Ecologist ready to take on the leadership of a ready-made team?  This exciting position will see you joining one of the region’s premier Landscape and Ecology practices and take on a pivotal role in the business.

My client is a fiercely independent consultancy with a fabulous reputation in the market.  They have an enviable culture as well as an exciting portfolio of high profile and challenging projects across the UK as well as overseas.

As part of their exciting plans going into 2019, my client is seeking an ambitious Ecologist with a proven track record as both a Technical and Commercial practitioner.  You will take a pivotal role within the company, leading a team of experienced and junior Ecologists.  Working alongside the Managing Director you will be responsible for the leadership and development of this team.  The opportunity to develop your career into a Senior Management position is very clear.

Your role will include technical delivery of projects, management of the team as well as undertaking client and business development initiatives for the business.

Key Work Areas

·         Managing, coordinating and undertaking ecological surveys for a range of species (while supporting and mentoring more junior staff members)
·         Producing high quality reports
·         Delivering complex projects on time and to budget
·         Undertaking business development and profile raising work
 
Ideally You Will Have The Following:

·         Upwards of 7 years relevant industry experience
·         Member of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
·         Protected species licence(s) would be advantageous
·         Appropriate BSc or equivalent qualification
·         MSc in a relevant environmental discipline (desirable but not essential)
·         Full clean UK driving licence
