This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to take a leading role in delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), managing client relationships and helping develop an established environmental consultancy offering.
The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of infrastructure and development projects, including highways, rail, water, energy, waste and regeneration schemes.
The role offers a combination of technical leadership, project management, client engagement and business development, with scope to influence the future direction and growth of the team.

Prepare and oversee Environmental Statements, Environmental Management Plans and Environmental Risk Assessments.
Coordinate multidisciplinary technical inputs and manage specialist consultants and delivery partners.
Provide environmental planning and consenting advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage projects, budgets, programmes and client expectations, ensuring high-quality technical delivery.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat business and new commissions.
Contribute to tenders, proposals and business development activities.
Mentor and support junior colleagues, with opportunities for line management.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to develop integrated environmental solutions.

You will ideally offer:
A degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
Substantial experience in environmental consultancy, particularly EIA and environmental planning.
A strong understanding of the UK planning system and development consenting processes.
Experience leading EIAs, preparing Environmental Statements and coordinating specialist technical contributions.

Excellent report-writing, communication and project management skills.
The ability to engage confidently with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
A collaborative approach, with the ability to mentor and guide colleagues.
A full UK driving licence.
Experience of renewable energy, water or wastewater schemes, environmental permitting, or business development would be advantageous.
Professional membership of ISEP, IES or a similar body, and chartered status, would also be welcomed.
What's on Offer?
Competitive salary and benefits package.
Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
A varied portfolio of infrastructure and development projects.
The opportunity to take ownership of projects and develop key client relationships.
