Contaminated Land, Remediation

Posted 25th June 2026

Are you an experienced remediation professional looking to work on technically challenging contaminated land projects?

My client is expanding its specialist remediation team and is looking for a Senior or Principal Remediation Engineer with expertise in contaminated land and emerging contaminants, particularly PFAS.

This is an opportunity to join a respected environmental consultancy delivering complex remediation schemes across commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors. You'll play a key role in leading projects from initial investigation through to remediation design, implementation and validation while helping shape the future of innovative remediation solutions.

The Role

You'll provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of contaminated land projects, working closely with clients, regulators and multidisciplinary teams. You'll lead remediation strategy development, oversee site investigations, manage project delivery and provide expert technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Alongside delivering projects, you'll mentor junior team members, contribute to business development and help drive technical excellence across the business.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with:

Significant experience in contaminated land remediation.
Strong technical knowledge of PFAS investigation and remediation.
Experience delivering complex remediation projects from inception to completion.
Excellent understanding of UK contaminated land legislation and regulatory guidance.
Commercial awareness and strong project management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Chartered status or progress towards chartership would be advantageous, as would experience with innovative remediation technologies.

Why Apply?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing environmental business where you'll work on high-profile remediation projects, influence technical direction and continue developing your career within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

If you're looking for a role where your technical expertise can make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
