 My client is a well-established and highly respected consultancy operating across the built and natural environment. They are currently experiencing a sustained period of growth, with a strong pipeline of work across infrastructure, water, transport, aviation, and energy sectors.

Due to continued success and expansion, they are looking to appoint a Principal or Associate Environmental Consultant to join their growing Environmental Management & Assessment team.


The Role

This is a senior, client-facing role offering the opportunity to lead and shape environmental delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
Preparing and reviewing Environmental Statements and associated documentation
Managing multidisciplinary project teams and technical inputs
Acting as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
Supporting business development, bids, and client growth
Mentoring and developing junior team members
You will work across a range of sectors, including:

Transport (road, rail, light rail)
Water and utilities
Energy and renewables (onshore wind, solar, battery storage)
Aviation
Residential and mixed-use development

About You
Essential


Proven experience delivering and leading EIAs within the UK
Strong knowledge of the UK planning and consenting process
Background in environmental consultancy across infrastructure or development
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Desirable
Experience in renewables, water, or large-scale infrastructure projects
Chartered (or working towards chartership)
Commercial awareness and experience supporting business development
