Highly regarded independent infrastructure and property consultancy, specialising in sustainability, planning and environment are seeking a highly ambitious Director Level ecologist to lead their established national team. My client works on a range of high-profile projects, including road and rail sector, urban regeneration and mixed-use schemes.
Due to their ongoing success, my client is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Director to play a key role within the business. The role presents the successful candidate the opportunity to work as part of the leadership team for the whole business alongside a range of highly talented individuals who have helped grow the firm to its highly successful position in the market.
My client boasts a portfolio of prestigious projects and clients both in the private and public sector at local and national levels. They currently support projects such as HS2, Crossrail 2, Thames Tideway Tunnel as well as large regeneration schemes.
This fantastic opportunity represents the chance to lead one of the strongest and most dynamic independent Ecology teams within the consultancy sector. The role offers great scope to play a key role as part of the senior management team comprising of a number of highly respected ecology professionals. You will be working on a range of enviable projects across the UK as well as Internationally, using the most cutting-edge techniques and approaches to consulting available in the industry.
This sizeable UK Ecology team is spread across the UK requires a dynamic Ecologist to lead the team and support further growth. The post comes with a highly competitive salary and package.

About the Role
You will be responsible for leading and managing the UK team on a daily basis, as well as developing and implementing the strategy to further grow the team and its services. Working closely with the board of directors you will form part of the management team and have input on the direction of the entire business.
You will be responsible for project and client management, ensuring the delivery of continuous workload for the team.
Capabilities & Qualifications
- Extensive track record in consultancy, ideally upwards of 8 years post-graduate experience
Excellent commercial and project management skills
Ability to lead and develop a team
Relevant Degree (MSc desirable)
Excellent knowledge of all ecological principles, relevant wildlife legislation and ecological impact assessment
Public Enquiry and Expert Witness Experience - preferred
