Highly regarded independent infrastructure and property consultancy, specialising in sustainability, planning and environment, are seeking an experienced Town Planning Specialist to join their team to work on a range of high-profile projects, mainly in the road and rail sector.
Due to their ongoing success, my client is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Town Planner to play a key role within the business. The role presents the successful candidate the opportunity to work alongside a range of highly talented individuals who have helped grow the firm to its highly successful position in the market.
My client boasts a portfolio of prestigious projects and clients both in the private and public sector at local and national levels. They currently support projects such as HS2, Crossrail 2, Thames Tideway Tunnel as well as large regeneration schemes.
The role will be based from their London office with significant scope for home working
Ideally, You Will Have The Following
· Have a RTPI accredited degree
· Be MRTPI qualified
· Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Be critical thinkers with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Be organised, flexible, proactive and professional
You will be working on a range of commissions from gathering background evidence to support a Local Plan or SPD, to setting planning and environmental strategies for high profile, cross boundary planning applications and acting as planning lead for large scale regeneration schemes where there are complex multi-disciplined issues to overcome. In your role, you would principally work on TCPA projects, but experience also of DCO/ TWAO schemes would be an advantage. You will be responsible for managing projects with guidance from a senior member of the team; liaising with clients, local authorities, consultants and key stakeholders to proactively move projects forwards; developing strong professional networking relationships with those in the property and planning industry to identify opportunities for business development; work collaboratively in teams to support bids and tenders; and writing and submitting planning applications.
