Posted 27th February 2020

Exciting opportunity for aspiring Aboricultural graduates to join one of the most enviable independent ecology firms in the UK.

My client is looking for new Arboricultural Graduates to support their continued growth. They are offering a unique graduate training programme which aims to bring new starters in to and through the business, with a view to training and promoting graduates to Consultant level in 6 months.

My client aims to deliver a fantastic service for their customers and to have great fun doing what they love. They promote flexible working, a proactive and client-facing work ethic, and also make their own beer!

Location

London or Birmingham

About the Role

Successful candidates will be working within a very busy and experienced arboricultural consultancy team carrying out BS5837 tree survey and assessment work, with an emphasis on wider consultancy skills and an insight into the inner workings of the business, such as winning work, client care, project team meetings and external training opportunities. Working with a dedicated mentor you will be working through a fully paid 6-month training programme to provide you with the learning and experience needed to reach a Consultant level position within 6 months.

Candidates should ideally hold a degree or diploma in a related Arboricultural field, be able to demonstrate excellent written skills and have an interest in and knowledge of the planning system and the role of Arboricultural consultancy and BS5837.

A working knowledge and demonstrable ability to use AutoCAD is welcomed, but not essential. A full UK driving licence is however required to enable site work.

Please note, candidates may also be asked to work occasionally from our other offices and assist the wider team with inputs for other disciplines to manage workloads and projects as required.

Rewards & Benefits

My client gives their staff a day off a month to support a charitable initiative of their choice and to celebrate your birthday, also giving their team the day off then too.

They are looking for someone with enthusiasm and a passion for what they do and in turn offering excellent career prospects, a great working environment and a support network with training in return.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join an ambitious business with significant growth plans ahead.  My client offers a lot of training as well as great scope for progression and reward.  They also offer staff 1 day a month to work in community project of their choosing.

Even if you are cautiously looking, I would recommend a discreet conversation to find out more about the firm and the role.
