Due to their continued success and ambition, they are seeking a highly ambitious Ecologist to support their plan to develop a North West team. You will be able to hit the ground running with a range of existing high-profile projects to get stuck in to.

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to play a key role within the business. The role presents the successful candidate the opportunity to work as part of the leadership team for the National Ecology team.
My client boasts a portfolio of prestigious projects and clients both in the private and public sector at local and national levels. They currently support various projects in areas such as HS2, Highways Schemes, Off-Shore Wind and Aviation.

You will play a key role as part of the senior management team, comprising of a number of highly respected ecology professionals. You will be working on a range of enviable projects across the UK as well as Internationally, using the most cutting-edge techniques and approaches to consulting available in the industry.

About the Role
You will be responsible for leading and managing a Manchester team on a daily basis, as well as developing and implementing the strategy for further growth. Working closely with the UK lead for Ecology, you will form part of the management team and have input on the direction of the entire business unit.
You will be responsible for project and client management, ensuring the delivery of continuous workload for the team.
Capabilities & Qualifications
· Extensive track record in consultancy, ideally upwards of 8 years post graduate experience
· Excellent commercial and project management skills
· Ability to lead and develop a team
· Relevant Degree (MSc desirable)
· Excellent knowledge of all ecological principles, relevant wildlife legislation and ecological impact assessment
· In-depth knowledge of plant or animal groups and appropriate field survey skills
· Hold various Survey and/or Development Licences
