Unique opportunity to take on a lead role in a newly formed Glasgow office for a global consultancy with ambitious plans for growth in the UK.
My client is a highly ambitious and growing consultancy with exciting plans ahead. Relatively new to the UK market (8 years) but has already established a strong presence across 3 UK offices. As part of their growth plans, my client is looking to open a new Scottish office based in Glasgow.
Capitalising on an already strong order book with a number of blue-chip firms active in the region, this exciting role will enable you to really drive your career forward.
You will also have the opportunity to work on overseas projects across Europe and beyond.
My client provides environmental consulting services to corporate, private equity and property clients. Working strategically with their clients, they support environmental due diligence, contaminated land investigation and remediation, EHS management and compliance, environmental permitting and energy reduction.
The opportunity would suit a self-motivated individual with a strong technical background, along with a commercial outlook and team leadership qualities. You will need a strong working knowledge of Brownfield redevelopment, ideally across Scotland.

Typical Responsibilities of the Role
· Project management of site investigation and remediation works
· Client care of existing and new clients
· Business development and cross selling of wider environmental services
· Bid and proposal writing
· Financial management
· Management of junior staff
· Management of subcontractors and partners
About You
· Upwards of 6 years proven consulting experience
· Solid technical background within contaminated land risk assessment, site investigation and remediation
· Track record in client care and business development
· Bid and proposal writing
· Relevant industry degree and membership of professional body
· Good knowledge of the Northwest regeneration market
· Drivers’ license and willingness to travel
