Fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Town Planning specialist at or close to Partner grade to join a leading property and planning consultancy based in Bristol.

My client has a significant team of experienced Planners working on a range of sizeable and interesting projects across the South of the UK and Wales.  Due to their ongoing success and ambition for further growth, they are looking to add a dynamic and ambitious experienced Planner to their team to play a key role in supporting ambitious plans for growth.

My client has a strong reputation in Planning and have a network of offices across the Southern UK.  You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of 10 Planners which is part of a larger office.  This firm has an established client base, which includes local and regional housebuilders, developers, landowners and public-sector bodies.

On offer is a varied workload of projects across a variety of sectors including residential, mixed-use, energy and strategic land, ranging from small-scale projects right up to large urban extensions.

Your role will include:

·         Promote the service to existing and new clients, and generate new business
·         Be responsible for own caseload and delegate effectively to other members of the planning team
·         Preparation of planning appraisals/strategy reports
·         Promotion of a range of planning and Listed Building applications and securing commercially driven planning permissions
·         Co-ordination of internal and sub-consultant teams ranging in scale of project
·         Preparation of planning appeals and ability to act as expert witness
·         Promotion of sites through representations to emerging policy

About You

You should be MRTPI qualified, ideally with a private sector background. Ideally, you will have a demonstrable track record of working within the region on a range of projects. You will have an established range of industry contacts and thrive in a client facing capacity. Strong communication, both written and verbal. Ambitious mindset with flare of strategic and commercial acumen.

You must have strong development management experience and residential project experience is a big advantage.  Some experience of managing junior staff is useful, but not essential. full driving licence is required.
